Traveled as a part of a team of three to eastern Macedonia to document Macedonian Roma (Gypsy) communities, their lifestyles, homes and thoughts on integration into the local society. We explored the challenges of existing Roma NGOs, setting up a new NGO, and the cultural differences that make the Roma people unique. The final film project follows Roma Safet Tairov’s personal, economic, social and political struggles to build a kindergarten in his village.
