Amanda Fornal

Welcome to The Orange Explorer.
Amanda Fornal is an explorer, photographer, diver, and documentary filmmaker, also known as The Orange Explorer. This collection represents a small selection of stories, photographs, and research gathered during travels through more than 100 countries and territories across all seven continents.
Amanda's work focuses on exploration, cultural documentation, conservation, and human connection. Through photography, film, and field research, she documents landscapes, wildlife, cultural traditions, and everyday life around the world.
She is the founder of Women in Exploration, creator of the Investing in Kindness research initiative, and is currently developing the next version of her storytelling platform, Elephari. She is also a Fellow of The Explorers Club.
Her projects range from documenting traditional tattooing and cultural marking practices in the South Pacific to INDogs of the Indian subcontinent. For her documentary project Love is…, Amanda interviewed more than 600 people from over 75 countries to explore cultural perspectives on love, relationships, and human experience.
She has a particular interest in ocean exploration, animal welfare, conservation, global health, and cultural understanding.
