With many doctors moving out of the country, Ethiopia’s healthcare still struggles to meet the demands of the country’s nearly 100 million citizens. The International Vaccine Institute (IVI) is an organization delivering safe, effective and affordable vaccinations in Ethiopia. Infant mortality is sometimes as high as 41 per 1000 births. IVI is working to curb this trend. Healthcare declines as you move out towards the rural areas – where being born in a hospital is a luxury.
